Ben here, I have come to Bubble after 20 years as a teacher of languages and wanting a change from the classroom.

I found that giving students individual attention was becoming increasingly difficult but I wanted to continue to educate, albeit in a different capacity.

Having driven in an interesting variety of countries, I tend to notice differences in skill and attitude.

I have now become an annoying 'back seat driver' to my friends and family who live all over the world.

Revenge for the habitual commentary I endured when I first passed ... ?

As for teaching style, I am unashamedly conversational, not dictatorial : I prefer to meet students where they are and talk to them about their own needs, hopes and fears. I find this puts them at ease as well as breeding results.

Teaching my 10 year-old to navigate traffic on an e-scooter in Malta (probably illegal here !) has been a recent highlight ...
